Two long term leases totaling over 20,000 SF have been agreed to at the former Hubbell manufacturing facility in Stonington at 14 Lords Hill Road. With the new leases now in place, the building is scheduled for major renovations and a complete conversion to offices and high tech research and development space.

The 70,000 SF building sits on a 32 acre waterfront site overlooking Fishers Island Sound and Quiambaug Cove in Stonington, near Mystic. Leasing was handled by Francis Jenkins, principal of the Shermen Group, and Daniel Barber of Northeast Property Group. The property is owned by Quiambaug, LLC a division of the Shermen Group of New York City. Leasing is managed by Northeast Property Group, Inc. of New London

The companies that have made the long term commitments are The Oliver Group, currently located in Pawcatuck and Hubbell, Incorporated, the former owner of the property. The Oliver Group, Inc is a rapidly expanding Data Storage and Retrieval firm which employs over 35 people. Hubbell, Incorporated, a worldwide leader in the manufacturing and sales of electrical components and data management systems is headquartered in Milford, CT and will maintain engineering and development operations at the building employing approximately 35 people.
