Request for a Resale Certificate
Section 47-270 of the Common Interest Ownership Act requires that a condominium unit owner provide a Resale Certificate to a purchaser prior to the transfer of possession of the unit.
Northeast Property Group produces Resale Certificates on the behalf of all the Associations it manages. If you are in the process of selling your unit, you must request a Resale Certificate as soon as possible after obtaining a signed contract for the sale of the unit.
There is a fee for preparation of the resale certificate which varies by property. In some cases, it is necessary for us to have a copy of the Sales Agreement to produce all the documents required for the closing. We will contact you in these circumstances.
We are required to complete the Resale Certificate within ten business days after receipt of your written request and payment of the fee. Normally, however, we are able to provide the documents in a shorter period of time. If you require an expedited certificate, there is an additional fee.
